Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to provide Level 2 support for critical business applications across Windows, UNIX, and Linux environments. The role emphasizes hands-on work with Node.js, MSSQL, AWS, and ITSM practices to ensure availability, performance, and stability.

You will troubleshoot enterprise-grade systems, analyse MSSQL data with SQL queries, and collaborate with development and operations teams on automation, cloud migration, and platform

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years supporting REST API services
• Experience with Node.js, React.js, Next.js, NestJS or Node.js frameworks
• 3+ years in microservices and container technologies
• 2+ years application or production support
• Strong MSSQL experience and SQL query troubleshooting
• Hands-on AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Bash or similar scripting
• Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL processes

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 technical support for critical applications with defined SLAs
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, database, and integration issues
• Use MSSQL queries for data fixes and optimization
• Administer applications in AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch)
• Perform log analysis, monitoring, and Bash scripting for automation
• Collaborate with development forCode fixes or enhancements
• Support REST API services, microservices, and containers
• Apply ITSM incident/problem/change management
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend improvements
• Document troubleshooting steps and processes
• Support Level 1 and participate in on-call rotation
• Contribute to platform automation and cloud migration initiatives
