Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to provide Level 2 support for critical business apps in Singapore. You’ll troubleshoot REST APIs, MSSQL databases, and cloud services across Windows/Linux environments and AWS, while collaborating with Level 1, development and operations teams to ensure uptime.

The role emphasizes platform automation, cloud migration, and continuous improvement, with on-call rotations and ITSM practices guiding incident handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of REST API support experience.
• 3 years with microservices and container technologies.
• Strong MSSQL experience with queries and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on AWS experience including EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch.
• Good scripting and ITSM/ITIL awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical support for business-critical applications.
• Investigate and resolve application, infrastructure, and database issues.
• Analyse MSSQL data with queries and perform fixes as needed.
• Administer applications in AWS and monitor CloudWatch metrics.
• Perform log analysis, automation with Bash, and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with dev teams on code changes and enhancements.
• Support REST APIs, microservices, and container-based apps.
• Apply ITSM practices across incidents, problems and changes.
• Document troubleshooting steps and support processes.
• Provide guidance to Level 1 support and participate in cloud migrations.
