Job summary

JR FOODS PTE. LTD. is seeking a practical Kitchen Support role in Singapore to assist in daily food preparation and maintain kitchen cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

You will help with washing, chopping, portioning ingredients, stock rotation, and basic plating assistance while upholding food safety standards and hygiene as required by WSQ certification.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and physical stamina to stand long hours, with opportunities to grow in a busy F&B kitchen.

Qualifications

• Education: Primary or secondary school completion (PSLE or N/O Levels).
• Certification: Valid WSQ Food Safety & Hygiene Certification.
• Experience: 1–2 years in F&B Kitchen.
• Physical & soft skills: stamina to stand long hours, work in hot/fast-paced environments, and lift moderate loads.
• Teamwork, reliability and basic knife/handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion ingredients according to chef instructions and recipes.
• Kitchen Cleanliness & Hygiene: Wash dishes, sanitize workstations and equipment.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Receive deliveries, store goods, rotate inventory, check expiry dates and restock.
• Waste & Safety Management: Dispose of kitchen waste properly and comply with safety regulations.
• Service Support: Help plate dishes and assist the culinary team during peak hours.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion ingredients according to chef instructions and standard recipes.
• Kitchen Cleanliness & Hygiene: Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; sanitize workstations, equipment, and dining/cooking areas.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Receive deliveries, unpack and properly store goods (refrigerated, frozen, and dry stock), rotate inventory, check expiry dates, and restock supplies.
• Waste & Safety Management: Dispose of kitchen waste properly, keep rubbish areas clean, and comply with local workplace safety and hygiene regulations.
• Service Support: Help plate dishes, fetch items during peak hours, and support the overall culinary team

Common Requirements & Qualifications
