Job summary

Modern Beauty Salon (S) Pte Ltd is hiring a Kitchen Support role to assist in basic food and ingredient preparation, wash and sanitize dishes, and help pack takeout orders in a fast-paced environment. You will follow food safety guidelines and support the chef and assistant in daily operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of general kitchen experience and a valid Level 1 Food Safety certificate, with minimum primary education.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant kitchen operations experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Experience in fast-paced environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant/Chef in basic food and ingredient preparation (washing, peeling, cutting, slicing, chopping, heating).
• Wash, clean and dry kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans, boards and equipment.
• Pack takeout orders for customers.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation areas.
• Sweep and mop floors and handle rubbish disposal.
• Receive and store supplies and ingredients hygienically.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines and standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant/Chef in basic food and/or ingredient preparation including washing, peeling, cutting/slicing, chopping, heating up food etc.

• Wash, clean & dry the kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans, chopping boards, kitchen equipment etc.

• Pack takeout orders for customers

• Clean and sanitizing the food preparation areas

• Sweeping & mopping the floor and empty the rubbish bins

• Receive and store supplies & food ingredients in appropriate & hygienic ways

• Followed all food safety & hygiene guidelines and standards.

• Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• Preferably with 1 year's relevant experience in general kitchen operations, food safety & hygiene guidelines and practices, etc.

• Minimum primary school education and with valid food safety course level 1 certificate in a fast-paced environment
