Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking a kitchen cook to prepare meals for residents and staff, including those with special dietary needs. You will ensure proper storage, labeling, and timely meal distribution while maintaining high hygiene standards in a fast-paced healthcare/large-scale kitchen setting.

Responsibilities include assisting in menu planning, reducing waste, and guiding team members to maintain efficient operations. Prior experience in healthcare or institutional kitchens is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent qualification.
• Possess a valid WSQ Food Safety & Hygiene certification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience in healthcare, institutional, or large-scale kitchen environments will be an advantage.

• Clean and perform basic maintenance of kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils.
• Dispose of waste in accordance with hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Provide guidance and support to team members where required.
