Job summary

Sunnyhill Ace PTE. LTD. seeks a Kitchen Assistant to support cooking classes for students. You will prepare ingredients, assist instructors, manage kitchen safety, and help with inventory.

Working Hours

Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30 AM - 3:45 PM (Includes a 45-minute lunch break)

Fridays: 7:30 AM - 3:15 PM (Includes a 45-minute lunch break)

Weekends & Public Holidays: Off (Service is strictly not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays)

Core Responsibilities

• Lesson Preparation: Apportion, store, and prepare food ingredients and utensils for cooking lessons according to teacher recipes.
• Classroom Assistance: Assist teachers during cooking classes, manage food laboratory safety, and guide students with kitchen equipment (ovens, blenders, cookers).
• Inventory & Supplier Liaison: Collate food orders, check item deliveries, and assist with full kitchen inventory stocktakes.
• Hygiene & Maintenance: Maintain total cleanliness of the kitchens, wash kitchen linens/aprons, and deep-clean appliances during school holiday periods.

Job Requirements

• Certification: Must possess a valid Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate.
• Experience: Preferably at least 1 year of working experience in a school environment. Experience with inventory control or working within an NFS food laboratory is highly preferred.
• Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of keeping a neat, organized kitchen workspace.
