Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. invites a dedicated kitchen assistant to support Nutrition & Food Science activities within the school. You will help with food prep, storage, and general kitchen maintenance across all classes, ensuring clean facilities and safe operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with teachers and suppliers, checking deliveries, and supporting during cooking lessons with proper sanitation and stock management. A strong emphasis on hygiene and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Preferably 1 year of working experience in schools.
• Inventory experience in Nutrition and Food Science laboratory.
• Valid WSQ Food Safety Level 1 certificate.
• Submit Certificate of Attainment before start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and storage for all classes.
• Liaise with suppliers for food orders and related paperwork.
• Check food deliveries and portion ingredients for cooking lessons.
• Assist teachers during cooking lessons and clean up after sessions.
• Maintain kitchen safety and equipment and keep rooms clean.

Job description

Job Duties

• Assist Nutrition& Food Science teachers in food preparation, storage of food and generalkitchen maintenance including mopping of floors for all classes and stockcheck.
• Assist incollation of food orders and liaise with the suppliers e.g., faxing or ordersmade by teachers.
• Assist in thechecking of food delivery, proportioning of ingredients for cooking lessons andstock of food supply.
• Assist teachersduring cooking lessons and clean up after lessons.
• Maintain kitchensafety and equipment.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of everyroom in the department.
• To do general cleaning e.g., washing ofaprons, kitchen towels, etc. and maintenance of kitchen and NFS Hub includingmopping of kitchen floors regularly.
• To do stocktake, thorough cleaning of foodlabs utensils, equipment, and cabinets during school holidays periods.

Qualification, Skill &Experience

• a) preferably at least 1 year of working experience inSchools;
• b) preferably with similar and Inventory experienceworking in Nutrition and Food Science laboratory;
• c) shall possess a valid Workforce SkillsQualification (WSQ) Food Safety Course Level 1 (formerly known as Basic FoodHygiene Course) conducted by a Skills Future Singapore (SSG) approved trainingprovider; and
• d) submit the Certificate of Attainment to the School prior to the date of work commencement
