Job summary

Maxhunt Resource Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Assistant to support Nutrition and Food Science lessons. The role involves preparing ingredients and equipment, maintaining clean kitchens and assisting teachers during practical sessions.

The ideal candidate will have a primary school qualification or equivalent, some kitchen experience, and familiarity with basic food hygiene. Training and a stable, on-site role are provided.

Qualifications

• Primary school qualification or equivalent is preferred.
• Relevant kitchen, food preparation or catering experience is preferred.
• Food Safety Course Level 1 certification is an advantage.
• Familiar with basic kitchen equipment and food hygiene procedures.
• Organised and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and equipment for Nutrition and Food Science lessons.
• Clean and maintain kitchens, preparation rooms and work areas.
• Wash and store kitchen appliances, utensils and equipment.
• Receive and check food deliveries.
• Conduct stock-taking and maintain inventory records.
• Store ingredients safely and report damaged or expired items.
• Check that gas taps and electrical switches are turned off after use.
• Support teachers during practical lessons.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 6:30am to 3:30pm
• Friday: 6:30am to 3:00pm
• Working hours may vary according to the assigned school's timetable and operational requirements.
