Job summary

Migrantlink Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to oversee daily operations across the Teacher Preparation Room and two Kitchens, ensuring smooth lesson delivery and safe food handling.

You will manage supplier deliveries, set up kitchen labs, enforce sanitation standards, conduct inventory checks, and support teaching staff during practical classes, with ad-hoc duties as required by the NFS department.

Qualifications

• PSLE Certification required.
• WSQ FSC Level 1 Certificate.
• At least 3 years' experience as a FCE/NFS kitchen assistant in a secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Job description

Scope of Work

Oversee day-to-day operations and maintain full coverage across the Teacher Preparation Room and two Kitchens.

Manage supplier deliveries by verifying order accuracy, freshness, and quantities upon receipt.

Set up kitchen labs before lessons, including ingredient portioning, equipment allocation, and workstation prep.

Enforce rigorous food safety, cleanliness, and overall sanitation protocols in all kitchen facilities.

Conduct routine inventory checks and monitor condition of cooking appliances, utensils, and resource materials.

Assist teaching staff during practical culinary classes, guiding students on safety protocols and prep techniques.

Undertake ad-hoc tasks and operational duties as requested by the NFS department.

Working Hours

1 Jan 2027 to 4 June 2027, 28 June 2027 to 3 Sep 2027 and 10 Sep 2027 to 30 Nov 2027

• - Mondays to Thursdays: 7.30am to 3.30pm*
• - Fridays: 7.30am to 12.30pm* *Daily working duration includes a lunch break of 1 hour

Qualification

• - Minimum qualification of PSLE Certification:
• - Valid WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 Certificate Experience:
• - At least 3 years of relevant working experience as a Food & Consumer Education (FCE) / Nutrition & Food Science (NFS) kitchen assistant at a Secondary School.
