Job summary

PERCEPT SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Junior Data Centre Operator to join our Singapore data centre team. You will monitor servers, systems and applications, run batch and backup jobs, and respond to incidents to keep services stable and secure.

You will also support on-site operations, DR activities, access control, and printing services, working on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in IT or related field.
• Basic knowledge of servers, operating systems, and data centre operations.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends/public holidays.
• Good communication and ability to follow SOPs.
• Fresh graduates welcome; data centre/NOC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor server, system, and application health.
• Perform batch job execution and monitoring.
• Monitor and verify backup job execution and completion.
• Handle alerts, escalation, and incident notifications according to SOPs.
• Provide data centre visitor escorting and access support.
• Support building management activities, including power and air-conditioning maintenance.
• Assist with security advisories and compliance requirements.
• Provide remote monitoring services.
• Support and participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities.
• Execute operational tasks assigned by the Project Manager.
• Manage and support printing services.
• Ensure all assigned operational tasks are completed within defined SLAs.

We are seeking a Junior Data Centre Operator to support 24×7 data centre operations. This role involves continuous monitoring of systems, batch and backup jobs, incident escalation, and on-site operational support to ensure stable and secure data centre services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor server, system, and application health
• Perform batch job execution and monitoring
• Monitor and verify backup job execution and completion
• Handle alerts, escalation, and incident notifications according to SOPs
• Provide data centre visitor escorting and access support
• Support building management activities, including power and air-conditioning maintenance
• Assist with security advisories and compliance requirements

Operational Accountability:

• Ensure systems and applications are continuously monitored

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Basic understanding of servers, operating systems, and data centre operations
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Good communication skills and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Fresh graduates are welcome; prior data centre or NOC experience is a plus
