Job summary

Tangspac Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Data Centre Operator on a 12-month contract to support two Singapore locations, Kim Chuan and Bedok. The role requires rotating 3 shifts and 24/7 coverage to ensure uninterrupted data centre operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Nitec/Higher Nitec or Diploma in IT, with 1–2 years in data centre environments and strong skills in Windows Server, UNIX and AIX. Shift allowances are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Able to perform 24-hour rotational shifts (3 shifts) to support continuous data centre operations.
• Minimum Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server, UNIX, and AIX operating systems.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience in a Data Centre environment.
• Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily data centre operations including batch processing, report printing, system backups, tape management, server reboots, and infrastructure checks to maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor data centre system uptime and connectivity proactively to ensure continuous system availability and prevent downtime.
• Log and submit problem management records and assign issues to the appropriate teams for timely resolution.
• Enforce physical security procedures within the data centre to safeguard infrastructure and assets.
• Safely escort personnel to and from the Data Centres at Kim Chuan and Bedok locations.

Data Centre Operator / 12 months contract role

Location - Kim Chuan & Bedok

Rotational Shift

24/7 operations with rotating 3-shift duties:

• 1st Shift: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 10:30 PM

• 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:30 AM

Upto $4k Salary + Shift allowance additional

• Safe Guard Personnel safely to and from the Data Centres at Kim Chuan and Bedok locations
