Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Data Centre Operations Engineer to manage day-to-day data centre operations across multiple sites in Singapore. You will ensure high availability of critical infrastructure and services, coordinate with facilities teams, vendors, and project teams, and support server installations and rack deployments.

You will also monitor power, cooling, and IT infrastructure health, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in incident response and RCA processes

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Data Centre Operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience in 24x7 data centre environments or enterprise/colocation facilities.
• Diploma/degree in IT or engineering.
• Applicants with own transport preferred for easy access to Data Center Locations.

Job description

Contract Duration - 12 Months
Working Hours - 12 Hours rotation shifts, Mon to Sun including Public Holidays
Support Locations - Multiple Sites island wide

Key Responsibilities

Data Centre Operations & Infrastructure

• Manage day-to-day data centre operations, ensuring high availability of critical infrastructure and services.
• Coordinate with Data Centre Facilities teams, vendors, remote hands, and project teams to support operational requirements.
• Support server installations, rack deployments, decommissioning activities, and infrastructure changes.
• Monitor power, cooling, environmental, and IT infrastructure health across multiple sites.
• Perform routine infrastructure health checks, preventive maintenance, and operational readiness reviews.
• Manage rack space allocation, power capacity planning, and infrastructure utilization.

Monitoring & Automation

• Administer and maintain monitoring platforms such as Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenDCIM, or similar tools.
• Configure monitoring alerts, thresholds, dashboards, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.
• Support integration of infrastructure monitoring, telemetry, and reporting systems.

Incident & Problem Management

• Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond to incidents within agreed service levels.
• Lead incident troubleshooting, impact assessment, escalation, restoration activities, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurring incidents.
• Maintain incident records, service requests, and change documentation using ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Data Centre Operations, Infrastructure Operations, Site Reliability, or IT Infrastructure Support.
• Applicants with own transport preferred for easy access to Data Center Locations
• Experience supporting enterprise or colocation data centre environments.
• Experience managing critical infrastructure in a 24x7 operational environment.
