Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an IT Support Engineer for a Hedge Fund office in Singapore. The role is hands-on, onsite with remote support to UK users, handling VIP and senior stakeholders.

You’ll troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Zoom and Webex, work with Entra ID/AAD, DNS, DHCP, GPO and Azure Virtual Desktop, and use PowerShell to automate tasks while contributing to infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

We're working on a new IT Support Engineer requirement for a Hedge Fund office in Singapore.

This is a hands-on, onsite role supporting a small but demanding user base, including VIP and senior users, while also providing remote support to users in London.

The role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the business, taking ownership of technical issues and working across both end-user support and broader infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing face-to-face IT support for the Singapore office
• Supporting VIP and senior stakeholders
• Delivering remote support to users in the UK
• Troubleshooting Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Zoom and Webex
• Working across Entra ID / Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Exchange
• Supporting MDM, macOS, iOS and Azure Virtual Desktop
• Getting involved in infrastructure issues, projects and improvements
• Using PowerShell to automate tasks and improve workflows
• Supporting AV, meeting rooms and general office technology
• Participating in an on-call rota when required

What we’re looking for:

• Confident face-to-face and VIP support skills
• Strong Microsoft 365, Outlook and Windows 11 knowledge
• Good understanding of AD / Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and VPNs
• PowerShell scripting experience or strong automation interest
• Financial services experience would be highly desirable
• Bloomberg or Reuters support experience would be a strong plus
