Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in CS/CE/IT or related field.
• 3-5 years of IT infrastructure, system implementation, or project delivery experience.
• Experience with virtualization technologies is a plus.
• CAT 1 clearance is required for this project.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support project implementation by completing deliverables and achieving milestones on time.
• Perform configuration, installation, and implementation of servers and networking equipment.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and external parties during implementation and issue resolution.
• Prepare for System Acceptance Testing (SAT) including security testing with customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation and testing.
• Maintain technical documentation and system configuration records.
• Prepare network topology and system architecture diagrams and related documents.
• Produce project documentation such as SOWs and handover records.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance team and assist handover to operations.

Job description

We are looking for a Project Delivery Engineer (Day 1) to support the implementation, deployment, and delivery of IT infrastructure solutions (Enterprise Project). The successful candidate will work closely with customers, vendors, and internal project teams to deliver infrastructure projects and ensure successful system implementation and handover.

Job Responsibilities

• Support project implementation by completing assigned deliverables and achieving project milestones within agreed timelines.
• Perform configuration, installation, and implementation of servers, network equipment, and related hardware and software.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and other external parties during system implementation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Prepare for and participate in System Acceptance Testing (SAT), including security-related testing, with customers and external vendors.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues encountered during system implementation and testing.
• Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation and system configuration records.
• Prepare and maintain network topology diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and other relevant technical documentation.
• Prepare standard project documentation, including Statements of Work (SOW), system handover documents, equipment inventories, and implementation records.
• Provide technical support and incident response assistance to the maintenance team.
• Support system handover and knowledge transfer to maintenance and operations teams upon project completion.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, system implementation, project delivery, or a related technical environment. Candidates with lesser years of relevant experience will be considered for the junior role.
• Experience with virtualization technologies will be an advantage.
• Strong interest and ability to learn new technologies, platforms, and tools to support continuous improvement of systems and processes.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing assigned project deliverables and timelines.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
• This role requires individual to clear CAT 1 due to the nature of the project.

Technical Skill Sets

Candidates should possess relevant knowledge and/or hands-on experience in the following areas:

• Operating Systems: Linux, CentOS, SUSE
• Networking: Dell and Cisco networking equipment, routing, switching, TCP/IP
• Security & Firewalls: Fortinet solutions and firewall configuration/management
• Infrastructure Hardware: Servers, networking equipment, and fibre-optic transmission devices
• Big Data & Data Platforms: Hadoop, HDFS, ZooKeeper, Cloudera, Hue, Apache technologies
• Search & Analytics: Elasticsearch
• Virtualization: Knowledge or experience with virtualization technologies will be an advantage
• Operations & Support: System implementation, troubleshooting, system maintenance, incident support, and production support
