Job summary

DATUMSTRUCT (S) PTE LTD seeks an engineering-focused professional to support the sales team with customer requirements, conduct site surveys, and prepare technical proposals and BOMs. You will coordinate projects end-to-end, oversee deployment and commissioning, and provide hands-on Level 1–2 technical support to ensure successful implementations.

Job Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Support

• Support the Sales Team in understanding customer requirements and technical needs.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution designs, bill of materials (BOM), and system architecture diagrams.
• Review customer specifications and tender requirements.
• Provide technical clarifications and participate in customer meetings and presentations.
• Liaise with vendors and manufacturers for solution design and product selection.

Project Coordination & Delivery

• Coordinate project activities from planning through implementation and handover.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Attend project meetings and provide project updates.
• Track project actions, risks, and issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and handover documents.

Deployment & Commissioning

• Perform installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of systems.
• Support onsite deployment and migration activities.
• Conduct system integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Troubleshoot technical issues during implementation.
• Conduct customer training and system handover.

Technical Support

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support.
• Investigate and resolve customer-reported technical issues.
• Manage support tickets and ensure compliance with service response commitments.
• Escalate complex cases to vendors and manufacturers where necessary.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Support preventive maintenance and system health checks.

Job Requirements

Education

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in technical support, project implementation, systems engineering, or infrastructure solutions.
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and positive attitude are welcome to apply.

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN).
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating environments.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and architecture diagrams.
• Experience in system deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of DCIM, Environmental Monitoring Systems, UPS, PDU, Power Monitoring, IoT, or Data Centre Infrastructure solutions is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, or diagramming tools is an advantage.
