Job summary

PEOPLE PROFILERS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise IT infrastructure projects.

The role focuses on installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, virtualization, storage, backup and related infrastructure. You will monitor operations, perform first-level troubleshooting, assist in deployments and migrations, maintain documentation, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1 year of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or a related technical environment.
• Basic knowledge of server infrastructure, operating systems, storage, backup and recovery, and virtualization technologies.
• Exposure to virtualization platforms and enterprise infrastructure environments will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting, or infrastructure automation concepts will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, and related IT infrastructure.
• Support day-to-day infrastructure operations, including system monitoring, routine health checks, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting for issues related to servers, operating systems, virtualization, storage, and backup systems.
• Diagnose infrastructure incidents and elevate complex technical issues to senior engineers or external vendors when necessary.
• Support infrastructure deployment, system migration, upgrades, patching, and implementation activities.
• Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond to incidents promptly to maintain system availability and performance.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, configurations, SOPs, asset inventories, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and customers during system implementation, troubleshooting, and issue-resolution activities.
• Support system testing and validation activities, including SAT, UAT, backup and recovery testing, and failover testing where applicable.
• Ensure infrastructure activities comply with established security policies, operational procedures, and change management processes.
• Participate in standby support rotation and provide after-office-hours technical support when required.
• Support infrastructure automation and continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, system reliability, and monitoring capabilities.

• Support infrastructure automation and continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, system reliability, and monitoring capabilities.

Job Requirements

Candidates should possess knowledge or hands-on exposure in the following areas:

• Operating Systems & Hypervisors: VMware vSphere / ESXi, Microsoft Hyper‑V, Windows Server, Linux
• Server Hardware: Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant
• Storage Systems: SAN (Fibre Channel / iSCSI), NAS (NFS / SMB)
• Network Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Backup & Recovery: Veeam Backup & Replication
• Scripting & Automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Provisioning & Configuration: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and infrastructure monitoring systems
• Cloud Technologies: Understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Hybrid Cloud, and Public Cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Hands‑on experience with infrastructure automation, scripting, cloud platforms, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) will be an advantage.

This role requires individual to clear CAT 1 due to the nature of the project.
