Job summary

Newtone consulting is seeking a proactive Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure in a mission-critical environment in Singapore. You will manage servers, virtualization, storage, security, and monitoring to ensure high availability and regulatory compliance.

The role covers installation, patching, performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery, with collaboration across vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), VMware, and enterprise hardware.
• Experience with backup/recovery tools, firewalls, storage systems, and infrastructure monitoring platforms.
• Familiarity with OpenShift/Kubernetes, Ansible, GitLab, Grafana, and Prometheus is an advantage.
• Understanding of ITIL processes including incident, change, and problem management.
• Certifications such as MCSE, RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, or ITIL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise infrastructure including Windows Server, RHEL, VMware, storage, firewalls, and backup systems.
• Perform system installation, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Support infrastructure security hardening and compliance with security standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues across production, staging, and development environments.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and replication activities to ensure system resilience and availability.
• Work closely with vendors and internal teams on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and incident resolution.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, system diagrams, and operational reports.
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure reliability and efficiency.
