Job summary

FairPrice Group is seeking a Manager (Business Projects) to translate category strategy into actionable plans and drive growth across Hypermarket operations. You will partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver commercial initiatives, strong execution, and improved profitability.

The role emphasizes proactive leadership, data-driven decision making and collaboration to optimize category performance and market competitiveness.

Qualifications

Experience in Category Management, Commercial Management, Buying/Merchandising or Retail Business Management, preferably within Hypermarket, Supermarket, FMCG or Retail environments.
Strong understanding of the supermarket/hypermarket business model, category dynamics and retail operations.
Good understanding of suppliers, brands, trade practices and commercial negotiations.
Demonstrated experience in using data and business information to identify opportunities and improve performance.
Experience managing cross-functional projects or business initiatives would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop category strategies aligned with overall business objectives and growth priorities.
Create annual and seasonal category plans, promotions and pricing initiatives.
Monitor category financial performance: sales, margin, market share and KPIs.
Collaborate across Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to execute plans.
Lead cross-functional projects with clear objectives, timelines and deliverables.
Provide management updates and share market insights for decision-making.
Build strong supplier relationships and align stakeholders on priorities.
