Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Category Manager to drive sales growth, margin expansion and inventory efficiency across assigned categories. You will own end-to-end commercial performance, including range strategy, pricing, promotions and supplier profitability, while ensuring sell-through and disciplined stock management.

The role requires a degree in Business Management and at least 3 years in category management or related roles within FMCG or multi-category

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Management or relevant discipline.
• 3 years of experience in category management, buying or commercial roles in FMCG or multi-category retail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for assigned categories within a category management framework to meet financial goals.
• Achieve category sales, profit and income goals through business plans for the assigned categories.
• Translate customer insights, market trends and performance data into category priorities and actions.
• Maintain supplier partnerships through joint business plan discussions and reviews.
• Develop and manage an optimal category assortment with range reviews for profitability and relevance.
• Source right products internationally to fit local demand.
• Develop and implement promotion plans to drive incremental sales and profitability.
• Ensure timely stock allocation and sell-through; apply learnings to improve processes.
• Develop a competitive pricing strategy to deliver value to customers.
• Establish collaborative retailer/supplier relationships to improve income and terms.
• Work with Supply Planning to ensure forecasts and stock availability.
• Comply with company policies including governance and inventory management.
