Job summary

Recruit123 is helping our client hire a hands-on Human Resource Manager to build out the people function as they scale their engineering and AI/ML teams in Singapore. This high-impact generalist role expects you to wear multiple hats in a lean, fast-moving environment.

You will own end-to-end HR operations, lead talent acquisition for tech roles, create scalable policies, manage payroll and passes, and drive employer branding as the company grows from startup to growth stage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of HR generalist experience.
• Experience in startup or fast-paced tech environments is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of Singapore employment law, CPF, and work passes.

Recruit123 is helping our client to hire a Human Resource Manager to join their fast-growing tech startup.

Our client is a startup operating in the technology/AI space, looking for a hands-on Human Resource Manager to build out their people function as they scale their engineering and AI/ML teams. This is a high-impact, generalist role suited to someone comfortable wearing multiple hats in a lean, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, compensation & benefits, performance management, and offboarding
• Lead technical talent acquisition efforts, particularly for software engineering, data science, and AI/ML roles, partnering closely with hiring managers/founders to define role requirements and hiring criteria
• Build and refine interview processes and technical hiring pipelines suited for competitive tech talent markets
• Develop and implement HR policies, employee handbook, and processes appropriate for a scaling startup
• Manage payroll, CPF, employment compliance, and work pass applications (Employment Pass/S Pass) for local and foreign hires
• Drive employer branding initiatives to position the company as an attractive employer for engineering and AI talent
• Support compensation benchmarking to ensure competitive offers in a tight tech talent market
• Foster company culture and employee engagement as the team scales from startup to growth stage
• Advise leadership on HR best practices, workforce planning, and organizational design
• Handle employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism

Requirements:

• Minimum 4–6 years of HR generalist experience
• Startup or fast-paced tech environment experience highly advantageous
• Solid understanding of Singapore employment law, CPF, and work pass regulations
• Comfortable working autonomously with minimal structure/support — this is a build-from-scratch role
• Strong stakeholder management skills; ability to work directly with founders/leadership
• Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
• Familiarity with HR systems/ATS tools (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, or similar) an advantage
