Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced HSE Specialist to manage and maintain HSE processes and systems in line with maritime regulations and operational needs in Singapore.

You will conduct risk assessments, track performance, coordinate audits and incidents, and drive continuous improvement across fleet operations, promoting best practices and compliance.

Experience with deck operations and certificates such as MPA Class 2 or higher is essential, with auditor qualifications viewed favorably.

Qualifications

• Reveal HSE experience in maritime settings and regulatory knowledge.
• Certificate of competency for Deck Class 2 or higher recognised by MPA.
• Awareness of ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS and related rules.
• Auditor certification is an added advantage for roles in oversight.

Responsibilities

• Capture lessons learned from incidents and reviews for stakeholders.
• Promote HSE best practices across marine and operational activities.
• Collaborate with teams to strengthen HSE awareness and compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

• Manage and maintain HSE processes and systems in line with applicable legislation, industry standards, and operational requirements.


• Facilitate risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities, ensuring identified risks are effectively assessed and controlled.


• Maintain the HSE risk register and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of risk-control measures.


• Track HSE performance against established objectives, targets, and compliance requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement.


• Coordinate the reporting and investigation of accidents, incidents, and work-related health cases, including appropriate follow-up actions.


• Assist with HSE audits, inspections, reviews, and the preparation of relevant reports and documentation.


• Support the development and implementation of HSE improvement plans and monitor progress against agreed actions.


• Capture and communicate lessons learned from incidents, audits, inspections, and HSE reviews to relevant stakeholders.


• Promote the adoption and sharing of HSE best practices across marine and operational activities.


• Collaborate with relevant teams to strengthen HSE awareness, compliance, and continuous improvement.


• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Possess Certificate of competency to Class 2 or above (Deck) recognised by MPA Singapore


• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet operations/tankers.


• Familiarity with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS and other maritime regulations.


• ISM/ISPS or ISO Lead Auditor certification is added advantage.
