Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Lead Marine HSE professional to oversee HSE activities aboard fleet vessels. You will lead incident investigations and corrective actions, and provide navigational guidance to Masters and vessel teams.

You will coordinate inspections, DPA duties, and ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, and MARPOL regulations, focusing on crew competency, training needs, and emergency response readiness.

Qualifications

• Possess certificate of competency to Class 2 or above (Deck) recognised by MPA Singapore.
• 8–10 years of experience in fleet operations/tankers.
• Familiarity with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS and other maritime regulations.
• ISM/ISPS or ISO Lead Auditor certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead marine HSE activities, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Conduct regular vessel visits, inspections, drills, and shipboard meetings.
• Provide HSE and navigational guidance to Masters and vessel teams.
• Perform DPA responsibilities and ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, and maritime regulations.
• Coordinate SIRE, Class, and Flag State inspections and follow up on findings.
• Support vessel dry-docking, repairs, maintenance, requisitions, and consumables management.
• Identify crew training needs and monitor deck officer competency and performance.
• Support crew deployment, recruitment, performance management, and welfare administration.
• Monitor vessel condition and prepare inspection and operational reports.
• Participate in emergency response activities and other fleet management duties.
