Job summary

NMS SCAFFOLDING PTE. LTD. is seeking an HR Generalist to handle a full spectrum of HR duties in Singapore.

You will maintain employee records, process payroll, prepare hiring and dismissal documents, and manage training programs. You will liaise with government bodies on foreign worker matters and coordinate welfare, grievances, and disciplinary actions. The role requires at least 2 years of HR experience and strong knowledge of HR practices and local legislation, with hands-on involvement in

Responsibilities

  • Ensure practices are in compliance with local legislation and regulation.
  • Maintain employees’ personal files and update employee details.
  • Perform monthly payroll processing including IR21, IR8A, leave pay and claims.
  • Prepare HR documents for hiring, disciplinary handling, exiting, promotions and ICA/MOE/MOM letters.
  • Plan and coordinate training programs for employees.
  • Liaise with the insurance broker on claims and work injury documentation.
  • Handle welfare matters, grievances and disciplinary issues.
  • Maintain attendance records (annual leave, LOA, medical leave) and input Off-in-lieu for PH.
  • Verify claims with records and monitor staff outpatient and inpatient entitlements.
  • Interact with government bodies (MOM, HDB) for foreign workers verification and reports.
  • Process home leave applications and air tickets for resigning foreign workers; levy waiver for returns.
  • Oversee work passes applications, renewals and cancellations; ensure worker trainings and updates.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding: contracts, orientation, IR21 and clearances.
  • Manage day-to-day HR activities and documentation.

Job description

1. Ensure that practices are in compliance with local legislation and regulation;

2. Maintaining employees’ personal file and updating employees’ details;

3. Performing monthly payroll processing including preparations of IR21, IR8A, leave pay and claims ;

4. Preparing necessary HR documents for hiring, disciplinary handling, exiting, job increment and promotion and misc. letter when staffs requested for ICA, MOE, MOM;

5. Planning, preparing, coordinating and administering of employees’ training program;

6. Handling and liaising between staffs and insurance broker on insurance claims and work injury compensations and all documentations;

7. Performing duties pertaining to welfare matters, grievances, disciplinary issues;

8. Maintaining all records of staff attendance such as annual leave, leave of absence and medical leave etc. Input Off-in-lieu as and when required for PH and pre-approval by management;

9. Verifying claims with proper record keeping, monitoring of entitlements for staff outpatient and inpatient medical

10. Handling all Govt bodies on HR related Matters (MOM’s call on foreign worker stays verification, Calls from HDB and MOM to verify Foreign Workers and even House Owners, Surveys and Reports for all govt bodies as well)

11. Follows through on home leave applications of foreign worker and seek the necessary approvals, purchase of air ticket for resigning foreigner workers, levy waiver for workers returning from home leave;

12. Over sees and manage all work passes applications, renewal and cancellations, mandatory courses to be possess by worker, update of personal details and any other matters for foreign workers

13. Full spectrum of talent acquisition processes including hiring candidates, ensure recruitments documents are in order, job posting, screening of CVs, interview arrangements.

14. Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing employment contracts, conducting orientation sessions, IR21 and clearance;

15. Manage day – to -day HR activities, including maintaining employee records and preparing hr related documents

16. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' related HR experience
