49 Seats is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Orchard Central team. This full-time role supports operations, delivers guest experiences, and helps lead a bustling hospitality team across shifts.

You'll oversee staff, budgeting, stock, health and safety, and customer service, while collaborating with senior management on standards and marketing initiatives to drive business goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hospitality management or multi-unit environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and health regulations in hospitality.
• Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software.
• Budgeting, cost control, and revenue management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring service standards across all shifts.
• Supporting recruitment, training, and development of staff.
• Managing staff schedules and coverage to maintain service quality.
• Monitoring inventory and cost control measures for F&B.
• Handling customer inquiries, complaints and guest concerns professionally.
• Assisting in implementing operational policies and health and safety regulations.
• Maintaining financial records and reporting KPIs to senior management.
• Collaborating on marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
• Providing excellent customer service and leading by example.
