Job summary

Reap is seeking a Head of Forward Deployed Engineering to build and lead our client-facing technical function. You will manage the existing Implementation Manager team today and evolve it into a broader FDE/Technical Solutions group, guiding clients from pre-sales to activation.

This role sits at the intersection of technical solutioning, implementation, and sales engineering, with hands-on involvement and a focus on scalable processes, risk guidance, and ensuring real value after go-live.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or building a client-facing technical team (e.g., Solution Engineering, FDE, Sales Engineering).
• Strong technical fluency with APIs, integrations, webhooks, authentication, data flows, and testing in sandbox/production.
• Experience with complex B2B payments, card issuing, or fintech infrastructure.
• Builder mindset to create structure from ambiguity and scalable operating models.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead Reap’s Forward Deployed Engineering function, evolving the current team.
• Own the client technical journey from pre-sales technical discovery through implementation, activation, and handoff readiness.
• Create and optimize the Sales–FDE operating model to identify risks early and align technical support to clients.
• Improve solution design, implementation quality, activation readiness, and post-activation outcomes across products and regions.
• Establish strong feedback loops between clients, Sales, CG, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance using documentation, tooling, and automation.
