Job summary

WORLDWIDE HOTELS MANAGEMENT (H) PTE. LTD. is seeking a guest services associate to warmly welcome guests, assist with luggage, and guide them to the front desk for check-in.

You will load and unload luggage, ensure driveways are clear, and help guests with transport needs while promoting hotel facilities. The role requires a friendly demeanour and flexibility for extended shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest service or front-of-house is preferred but training will be provided.
• Ability to converse in basic English for guest interaction.
• Maintains a friendly and positive demeanour at all times.
• Team-oriented with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work 9 or 12 hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Adheres to standard operating procedures and workplace safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests on arrival, assists with luggage and directs to front desk.
• Loads/unloads luggage, counts pieces to prevent loss.
• Keeps driveways clear for loading and unloading.
• Assists guests with transportation needs and facility usage.
• Delivers correspondence and packages to rooms or designated locations.
• Keeps workplace clean and well maintained.
• Escorts guests to rooms and explains hotel facilities.
• Assists in driveway duties as required.
• Reports any lost and found items.
• Performs other duties within reasonable scope and supports sustainability efforts.

Job Description & Requirements

• Welcoming guests upon their arrival at the hotel and assist them in handling their luggage and directing them to the front office reception for check-in.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of guests’ luggage (upon guests’ arrival & departure), count the number of pieces of luggage to ensure that no luggage goes missing.
• Ensure that the drive-in / driveway is clear at all times to facilitate loading and off-loading of luggage.
• Assist guest on their transportation needs and recommend the use of hotel facilities whenever possible.
• Deliver guests’ correspondence and packages to rooms or wherever designated.
• Ensure the workplace is clean and well maintained at all times.
• Escort guests to their rooms, explaining the facilities of the hotel etc.
• Assist in driveway as required.
• To report on any loss and found item.
• Any other duties within reasonable scope as assigned.
• Participate in company's sustainability effort for the environment and being an inclusive employer.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in guest service and support operations would be an added advantage although training will be provided.
• Ability to converse in basic English for interaction with guests / understanding guests’ needs & request.
• Able to maintain a friendly and positive demeanour.
• A team player with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Willing and able to perform 9 or 12 hours shift duties and able to work on weekend and during public holidays.
• Able to adhere to standard operating procedures / policies on workplace safety.
