Job summary

Varel Singapore is seeking a passionate Reservations Agent to support the Rooms Division in delivering a seamless and personalized booking experience for every guest. This role focuses on accurate handling of reservations and proactive guest care across multiple channels.

Fresh graduates are welcome. Familiarity with Opera or similar property management systems is preferred, along with strong English communication and attention to detail to ensure smooth pre-arrival coordination and a memorable

Qualifications

Experience in reservations or front desk roles is preferred.
Strong English written and verbal communication.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Manage guest reservations, amendments, cancellations, and inquiries across multiple channels.
Provide accurate information on room types, rates, packages, promotions, facilities, and services.
Maximize room occupancy and revenue while maintaining guest satisfaction.
Enter and maintain reservation details in the Property Management System (Opera or equivalent).
Identify guest preferences and communicate them to relevant departments for follow-up.
Assist with pre-arrival arrangements and coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping and other departments.
Recommend room types, packages, and services based on guest needs and upsell opportunities.
Respond promptly to inquiries and concerns with a high level of service.
Monitor inventory and reservation activity; escalate discrepancies as needed.
Handle payment and guarantee procedures according to hotel policies.
