Job summary

Allianz Insurance Singapore seeks a Business Development Manager to drive growth through partnerships and direct channels, expanding AIS's general insurance distribution footprint in Singapore. You will onboard new partners, cultivate strategic alliances, and lead direct sales across retail, SME, and mid-corporate segments.

The role requires 5+ years in general insurance business development, strong negotiation and relationship skills, and deep knowledge of MAS regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business development or sales within the general insurance industry in Singapore.
• Proven track record of managing broker, agent, and/or partnership relationships in the Singapore market.
• Experience developing both intermediated and direct business channels.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore's general insurance market, products, and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Partnership & Channel Development: identify, onboard, and manage partnerships and direct customers; design co-branded insurance solutions; monitor partner performance and growth.
• Direct Business Development: grow direct portfolio across retail, SME, and mid-corporate; lead end-to-end sales from outreach to onboarding; build a robust pipeline.
• Strategy & Market Intelligence: conduct market research and translate insights into growth strategies; contribute to new product propositions and distribution models.
• Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: work with Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Marketing, and Compliance; present to senior management; represent AIS at events to generate leads.
• Governance & Compliance: ensure partnership agreements comply with MAS regulations and group policies; maintain proper governance for onboarding and documentation.
