Job summary

PIL LOGISTICS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a seasoned Business Development professional to drive revenue in Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics and Transportation. You will identify opportunities, build a strong sales pipeline and convert prospects into profitable business.

You will manage client relationships, provide strategic market insights, and report KPIs to leadership while working with multi-functional teams to close deals and meet P&L objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in supply chain/logistics or related field.
• At least 5 years of proven BD experience in Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics & Transportation.
• Good understanding of freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, customs processes, and supply chain solutions.
• Proven track record in business development and sales.
• Good level of knowledge of MS Office.
• Strong business development and sales management skills.
• Strong communicator with effective written and oral communication to persuade, influence, negotiate and present business case.
• Ability to work and interact effectively with stakeholders from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
• Strong team player with can-do attitude, initiative and demonstrated ability to close deals.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics and Transportation in Singapore.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
• Convert opportunities into profitable business.
• Prepare and present proposals, RFQs/RFPs, and pricing models to potential clients.
• Achieve sales targets set and provide timely sales & marketing strategic information.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact during the sales process and transition to implementation.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
• Provide input into the company's business strategy and identify growth areas.
• Generate reports, and track KPIs related to sales performance and business pipeline.
• Identify target customers as sales objectives and update sales pipelines weekly to management team.
• Ensure all business transactions meet company's P&L objectives
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the department head
