Job summary
Private Advertiser in Singapore seeks an experienced Logistics & Commercial Manager to oversee and grow its logistics business, combining business development, customer management and operational leadership. You will drive revenue growth, manage key customers, and lead a team to deliver efficient, reliable, and profitable logistics services.
You will work closely with the operations team to translate customer requirements into practical solutions, monitor KPIs, and continuously improve processes
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in freight, logistics, shipping, transportation or related industries.
- At least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven experience in logistics sales, business development or commercial account management.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and the ability to translate customer requirements into practical operational solutions.
- Experience in leading and managing an operations team.
Responsibilities
- Commercial & Business Development: Develop and grow the logistics business through new customer acquisition and existing account development.
- Commercial & Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and develop logistics solutions based on customer requirements.
- Commercial & Business Development: Manage key customer relationships and serve as the main point of contact for commercial matters.
- Commercial & Business Development: Prepare and negotiate quotations, proposals and service agreements.
- Commercial & Business Development: Drive revenue growth while maintaining healthy margins and profitability.
- Logistics Operations: Oversee day-to-day logistics operations and ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Logistics Operations: Coordinate cargo movement, transportation, handling, storage and related logistics activities.
- Lead the operations team to resolve issues and optimize resource usage.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, freight forwarders, carriers and vendors.
- Systems, KPI & Reporting: Ensure use of tracking, ERP and asset management systems; monitor KPIs and provide reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness; implement best practices.
