Job summary

TSTAR Recruit Pte. Ltd. seeks a Global Freight Management Manager to lead global freight procurement strategy, negotiate with ocean carriers, and manage carrier relationships from Singapore.

You will drive cost efficiency, governance and risk management across regions while coordinating with Sales, Manufacturing, Finance and Operations. The role requires 8–12 years of global logistics procurement experience, strong leadership and Excel expertise, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related discipline.
• 8–12 years of global logistics procurement, ocean freight contracting or shipping management experience.
• Experience managing regional/global freight portfolios preferred.
• Strong knowledge of shipping operations and global container market dynamics.
• Proven carrier management, freight negotiations and commercial rate structuring experience.
• Leadership experience managing regional or cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual and ad-hoc freight negotiations with ocean carriers and freight forwarders to achieve cost and service objectives.
• Develop and implement global and regional freight procurement strategies across multiple trade lanes.
• Manage carrier relationships, allocation strategies, and contract governance for operations and service reliability.
• Monitor market trends, freight rate movements, and supply chain risks to support forecasting and continuity planning.
• Establish and analyze KPIs including volume forecasting, cost performance and service compliance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, Finance and Operations to align logistics strategies with business priorities.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and performance evaluations with logistics partners and carriers.
• Identify cost optimisation and process improvement across regional and global logistics operations.
• Lead, mentor and develop team capabilities for continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead annual and ad-hoc freight negotiations with ocean carriers and freight forwarders to achieve cost and service objectives.
• Develop and implement global and regional freight procurement strategies across multiple trade lanes.
• Manage carrier relationships, allocation strategies, and contract governance to ensure operational effectiveness and service reliability.
• Monitor market trends, freight rate movements, and supply chain risks to support forecasting and business continuity planning initiatives.
• Establish, track, and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), including volume forecasting, cost performance, and service compliance.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment on logistics strategies and business priorities.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and performance evaluations with logistics partners and carriers.
• Identify and implement cost optimisation and process improvement initiatives across regional and global logistics operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team capabilities to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in global logistics procurement, ocean freight contracting, or shipping management.
• Experience managing regional or global freight portfolios is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of shipping operations, logistics processes, and global container market dynamics.
• Proven experience in carrier management, freight negotiations, and commercial rate structures.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing regional or cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Resilient, self-motivated, and able to perform effectively in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
• Willingness to travel and support global operations across different time zones when required.

• Salary: Up to SGD 8,170 +AWS+VB (1 Month)

• Working Hours:6 Days Work, 9am - 6pm
