Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Technology Strategy Applications Engineer to identify challenges for data center designers and develop tailored facility water cooling solutions. You will define scalable approaches applicable across geographies, with emphasis on thermal management systems and market-ready products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience designing mechanical cooling systems.
• Minimum 5 years in data center industry, responsible for cooling design of advanced IT equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mission-critical cooling systems, applications and market trends.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills to influence decision-makers at all levels.
• Proven ability to write product specifications for end users, consultants, and installers.
• Experience in strategic planning, marketing, and market research.
• Highly developed prospecting skills to identify key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
• Willingness to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Develop globally applicable reference designs to produce facility water for various cooling methods in data center facilities.
• Author white papers, case studies, or application guides for facility water systems.
• Engage with industry partners and design community to shape next-generation cooling architecture.
• Provide in-depth technical support on facility water products to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with R&D, Training, Product Management and Technical Support to align with market needs and tool support.
