Job summary

Maersk in Singapore is seeking a Logistics Clerk to process import/export customs permits for warehouse goods and to handle duty payment permits for local sales. You will liaise with customs officers, ensure data accuracy, and update customers on shipment status. Coordinate with third-party providers to clear goods and support internal teams.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in logistics, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• GCE O level / A level or Diploma in Business Studies / Administration / Logistics or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in logistics preferred.
• Certificate of Customs Competency Test for Declarants is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) is preferred.
• Strong administrative and communication skills.
• Willing to perform overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Processing of import and export customs permits for warehouse goods.
• Processing of the duty payment permit for local domestic sale.
• Liaise with customs officer for shipment arrivals and departure.
• Ensure accuracy of the information applied in the customs permit.
• Responsible for updating the customers on the status of shipment arrival and departure.
• Arrange for the cheque requisition to shipping carrier with Finance division.
• Arrange for prompt customs clearance with third party service providers.
• Liaise with internal customers for goods and receipt and release.
