Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) invites applications for an Associate Engineer in the Diffusion (Furnace) department.

You will support engineers to sustain equipment performance and CpK targets while adhering to 12-hour shift schedules for production readiness. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/ITC/NTC in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Mechanical/Microelectronics/Chemical Process Technology and can work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITC/NTC in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical / Microelectronics / Chemical Process Technology.
• 2–5 years working experience in electrical / electronics industry for Associate Engineer position.
• Fresh diploma holders will also be considered.
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers to improve and sustain equipment performance and CpK indices to meet operations goals.
• Perform 12-hour shift duties to support production and ensure equipment readiness.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration on schedule.
• Assist Engineers in installation and hook-up of new equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Support process improvement projects.
• Mentor On-The-Job-Training (OJT) buddies for new Associate Engineers.
• Participate in QIT programs to improve productivity and output quality.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety in the production area.

We’re searching for an Associate Engineer to be part of our Diffusion (Furnace) Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on:

• To assist the Engineers to improve and sustain equipment performance and Cpk indices to meet operations goals
• Perform12-hour shift duties to support the running of Production in the Module and ensure equipment readiness and worthiness for production
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration on a timely basis
• Assist Engineers in the installation and hook-up of new equipment
• Trouble-shoot equipment-related issues and minimize equipment downtime
• Assist in implementing process improvement projects
• Assist new Associate Engineers on their On-The-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as their buddy
• Participate in QIT programs to improve productivity and output quality of the Module, and constantly monitor and feedback to Engineers to improve performance of equipment to meet Module objectives
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production area, ensuring good safety practice and safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module

More about you:

• Diploma / ITC / NTC in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics / Chemical Process Technology
• At least 2 - 5 years working experience in electrical / electronics industry for Associate Engineer Position
• Fresh diploma holders will also be considered
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift
