Job summary

SMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is seeking an Engineer for the Diffusion (Furnace) Department to sustain and improve equipment performance and support production ramp.

You will rotate shifts, ensure uptime, and maintain safety and quality processes in a fast-paced semiconductor environment. The role requires a degree or diploma in engineering with semiconductor maintenance exposure, plus familiarity with high vacuum systems and wafer fabrication equipment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in relevant engineering fields with semiconductor maintenance exposure.
• Entry-level candidates may apply but relevant experience preferred.
• High Vacuum maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Strong ownership and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve all equipment performance indices to meet operations goals.
• Perform shift duties based on rotation systems to support production.
• Optimize equipment uptime and reliability through scheduled maintenance and recovery.
• Control equipment performance indices to meet BBS goals.
• Comply with ISO standards and Quality systems of the company.
• Forecast and establish stock levels of spares and consumables to meet capacity within budget.
• Establish preventive maintenance SOPs to standardize equipment practice.
• Train/mentor AEs through OJT and upgrade technical skills.
• Recommend improvements to enhance capabilities, reliability, or cost savings.
• Participate in CIT team/task forces to optimize equipment performance and COO.
• Start-up new equipment to support production ramp, from facilities hook-up to acceptance.
• Document Corrective Action and Best-Known Methods for troubleshooting.
• Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices in the work area.

More about you:

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering

• Diploma in Mechatronics/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering with at least 4 years semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.

• 1-3 years relevant experience in the semiconductor manufacturing environment.

• Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.

• High Vacuum maintenance experience

• Basic semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment/ process knowledge

• Able to interpret electrical/ pneumatic schematic drawings
