Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) in Singapore is seeking an Associate Engineer to join the Diffusion II, WET PM Department and support equipment reliability.

The role involves assisting engineers to improve equipment performance, performing 12-hour rotating shifts, and conducting preventive maintenance and calibration. You will help install new equipment, troubleshoot issues, and participate in process-improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ ITC/ NTC in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical/ Microelectronics/ Chemical Process Technology.
• At least 2 - 5 years working experience in electrical / electronics industry for Associate Engineer Position.
• Fresh diploma holders will also be considered.
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift.
• Team Player.

Responsibilities

• To assist the Engineers to improve and sustain equipment performance and Cpk indices to meet operations goals.
• Perform 12-hour shift duties to support the running of Production in the Module and ensure equipment readiness and worthiness for production.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration on a timely basis.
• Assist Engineers in the installation and hook-up of new equipment.
• Trouble-shoot equipment-related issues and minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist in implementing process improvement projects.
• Assist new Associate Engineers on their On-The-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as buddy.
• Participate in QIT programs to improve productivity and output quality of the Module, and constantly monitor and feedback to Engineers to improve performance of equipment to meet Module objectives.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production area, ensuring good safety practice and also safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module.
