Job summary

JDA WMS Pte Ltd is seeking a hunter-type Sales Executive to win new business in freight forwarding and logistics. You will target accounts, create quotations, negotiate rates, and close deals while ensuring profitability.

You will work with Customer Service and Operations to ensure smooth shipments. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of outdoor sales experience, a proven track record of meeting targets, and an established client base is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirement is completion of Secondary School.
• At least 2 years of outdoor sales experience in Freight Forwarding/Shipping.
• Work well under pressure; track record of winning new accounts and hitting sales targets.
• An established client base is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Actively pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, canvassing, and meetings with potential clients.
• Use market knowledge and research to pinpoint potential leads.
• Create accurate quotations for clients, negotiate rates to secure contracts while ensuring profitability, and diligently follow up on quotation statuses to finalize sales agreements.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and current clients.
• Understand client needs and preferences to ensure satisfaction and loyalty, fostering repeat business and referrals.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure smooth shipment organization and execution.
• Handle and resolve issues that arise during the shipment process promptly and professionally.
• Explore potential sales opportunities and acquire new customers independently and proactively.
• Self-motivated and capable of working outdoors.
