Job summary

BEST Inc. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Operations Lead to oversee daily last-mile delivery and ensure service targets are met. You will manage the fleet network, vehicle allocation, and route coverage to maximize productivity.

You will work cross-functionally with warehouse, transport, customer service, and commercial teams, monitor KPIs, drive improvements, and implement automation where possible to reduce costs and boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in logistics, transportation, last-mile delivery, fleet management, or operations.
• Hands-on fleet network management experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets; familiarity with data visualization tools.
• Ability to automate manual processes and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Oversee daily last-mile delivery operations and ensure the network consistently meets service and performance targets.
• Manage and optimize the fleet network, including vehicle allocation, fleet capacity, route coverage and resource utilization.
• Monitor driver and vehicle performance to improve productivity and maximize fleet utilization.
• Track key operational KPIs such as D+1/D+2 SLA, OFD performance, delivery success rate, scan compliance and parcel aging.
• Review daily performance data to identify gaps in driver productivity, route efficiency and delivery performance.
• Take corrective action when operational performance falls below target and follow through to ensure improvement.
• Identify and resolve operational issues affecting delivery performance, including manpower shortages, vehicle breakdowns, fleet capacity constraints and delivery delays.
• Work closely with warehouse, transport, customer service and commercial teams to maintain smooth end-to-end operations.
• Support fleet and manpower capacity planning for new customers, projects and changes in daily delivery volume.
• Develop and improve operational processes to increase productivity, improve service quality and reduce operating costs.
• Identify repetitive manual processes and explore opportunities to improve them through automation and technology.
• Support the implementation of new systems and data processes that can improve network performance.
• Prepare regular performance reports and provide data-driven recommendations to management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and work towards measurable improvements in SLA, productivity, fleet efficiency and operating costs.

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, last-mile delivery, fleet management, warehouse or operations.
• Hands-on experience in fleet network management, including vehicle deployment, fleet capacity planning, route allocation and network optimization.
• Experience managing drivers, vehicles or delivery operations is preferred.
• Good understanding of last-mile delivery processes, fleet operations and operational KPIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving operational performance.
• Comfortable working with Excel, Google Sheets and operational data.
• Experience with Power Query or other data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Candidates with a background in coding, programming or process automation will have an advantage.
• Ability to identify manual processes and develop practical solutions to improve efficiency through automation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to operational issues.
