NTUC Fairprice Co-operative Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Night Shift Supervisor to manage fish and seafood receiving, quality control and issuing at Jurong Fishery Port and Sunview Fresh Food Distribution Centre.

You will lead the Night Operation team, ensure compliance with SOPs and food safety standards, and coordinate with suppliers, 3PLs, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely distribution.

Responsabilités

• Ensure purchase quality through upstream quality checks and cold chain management.
• Lead the Night Operation team (6 staff) with shift rotations.
• Receive stock from Jurong Fishery Port suppliers.
• Ensure freshness, quality and temperature control follow SOPs.
• Issue stock to stores and Central Butchery.
• Track stock movements using Night Buying System and tablets.
• Ensure on-time delivery to Fish Bed stores by 3rd party logistics.
• Maintain weighing machines, delivery baskets and tote boxes.
• Oversee quality from upstream to downstream and ensure supplier compliance.
• Review documentation and team performance.
• Monitor 3PL KPIs for timing, serviceability, delivery, and staff compliance.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and food safety standards.

WORKING HOURS & LOCATIONS

• Night Shift: 5 Days Week (Rotating Days including Weekends), 11.00PM - 8.00AM
• Locations: Jurong Fishery Port, and Sunview Fresh Food Distribution Centre

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage and oversee the receiving, quality control and issuing of fish and seafood from Jurong Fishery Port and ensure timely, efficient distribution to our stores.

You will be responsible for managing product specifications and ensuring procurement quality, while leading a team to drive operational excellence across the end-to-end supply chain. This includes close coordination with suppliers, third-party logistics providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Ensure purchase quality through upstream quality checks and cold chain management.
• In charge of leading the 1 core team functions of Fish & Seafood:Night Operation team (6 staff - 1 shift (Tue to Sun) 2330hr to 0700hr sbj to change as per operation requirement )
• Receiving of stock from Jurong Fishery Port suppliers;
• Ensure the freshness, quality and temperature control follows SOPs;
• Issuing of stock to stores and Central Butchery;
• Track movement of stock captured by the Night Buying Team using the Night Buying System and tablets;
• Manage on-time delivery to Fish Bed stores by appointed 3rd party logistics;
• Housekeeping and maintenance of weighing machines, delivery baskets and tote boxes.
• Accountable for quality related matters of fish & seafood from upstream to downstream - including following product quality standards, managing supplier compliance, overseeing inbound product checks, addressing in-store quality issues, and working with cross-functional teams to uphold quality integrity and product freshness in the entire supply chain.
• Perform regular check and review on documentation and team performance
• Track 3PL KPIs on deliverables pertaining to Timing, Vehicle Serviceability, Delivery Fulfillment and Staff Compliance
• Ensure team and 3PL compliance with internal SOPs and food Safety standards

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in fish mongering. Familiarity with night buying and operation at Jurong Fishery Port, and seafood procurement are added advantages..
• Strong understanding of fresh seafood products, quality parameters (freshness, grade, appearance etc), cold chain management and perishable logistics.
• Strong leadership with good communication and ability to lead teams.
• Attention to detail in inspecting product quality and quantity.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic procurement setting.
• Proficient in operational planning and process coordination.
• Proficient in computer literacy.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently with a high level of integrity
