Job summary

A financial services firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced financial professional to develop strategies, prepare financial reports, and manage accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have a degree in accounting or finance, strong analytical skills, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Excel and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting / finance.
  • At least 2 years in an audit role and 2 years in a controlling or financial reporting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end / year-end close process.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

Controlling / Reporting :
  • Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and financial statements.
  • Control accounting operations, including accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
  • Manage the financial planning and analysis function.
  • Assist in the preparation of the company's annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Control treasury operations.
Quality Management and Audit :
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Continuous control and audit of the company’s governance rules and financial and operational processes, identifying non conformities and deploying preventive and reactive action plan to minimize non conformities (monthly reporting to the Board of Directors).
  • Enhance systems integration and automation, along with associated outputs.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA, CPA, CMA or CFA preferred.
