Job summary

The Public Service Division in Singapore is seeking a meticulous finance professional to support revenue and financial operations on an 11-month contract. You will perform daily bank reconciliations, apply customer receipts to open invoices, monitor the Workday interface and resolve exceptions, and process participant refunds.

Qualifications

• Areas of study in Accounting or other relevant professional qualifications.
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Independent and ability to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
• Comfortable working in transaction-intensive environment, with a strong commitment to financial controls and service excellence.
• Relevant experience in finance or accounting operations.
• Experience in ERP/financial systems, particularly Workday Financial Management or Treasury Management Systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
• Identify and accurately apply customer receipts against open invoices.
• Monitor the Workday interface and resolve transaction or interface exceptions.
• Process course participant refunds accurately and promptly.
• Support Workday-related month-end closing and ensure revenue and costs are recorded accurately.
• Prepare journal entries for accounting corrections and reclassifications.
• Maintain appropriate supporting documentation and audit trails.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and system vendors to resolve operational and system issues.
• Proactively follow up and escalate outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution.
