Job summary

Mecomb Singapore is seeking a senior finance professional to manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and group consolidation. You will lead budgeting, forecasts and variance analysis while monitoring cash flow and working capital in a dynamic industrial environment.

The role requires strong experience in financial reporting, audits and ERP systems, with a hands-on leadership style to drive process improvements and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA is a must.
• At least 5 years of relevant finance/accounting and 3 years of external auditing experience, preferably within the industrial, engineering, manufacturing, trading or project-based sector.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, audit, tax, internal controls and business partnering.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Experience with D365, JDE or similar systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management and team-leadership skills.
• Commercially minded, hands-on and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, financial statements and Group reporting.
• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, debtor collection, inventory and foreign exchange exposure.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, tax compliance, GST and statutory reporting.
• Review and strengthen financial controls, governance processes and compliance with Group policies.
• Oversee procurement governance, vendor onboarding, purchase orders, supplier performance and compliance with procurement policies.
• Review tender costing, gross margins, project risks, capital expenditure and business proposals.
• Partner with Sales, Operations and Procurement to provide financial and commercial advice.
• Supervise and develop Finance and assigned Procurement team members.
• Drive process improvements, automation and finance system enhancement projects.
