Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of its Singapore operations. This is a hands-on role covering financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, tax and statutory compliance, payroll and internal controls, while partnering with the regional/group finance team on reporting and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts and daily financial operations for the Singapore entities.
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements, coordinating with headquarters on group reporting.
• Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights to the group finance team.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and monthly operational reviews.
• Oversee cash flow, billing, collections and other treasury-related activities.
• Maintain effective internal controls and continuously improve accounting processes.
• Coordinate external audits and tax matters, including schedules, reconciliations and responses to queries.
• Manage Singapore payroll obligations, including salaries, CPF and SDL contributions.
• Support statutory and tax compliance, including ECI, Form C-S/C, IR8A and IR21 requirements where applicable.
• Support ACRA filings, AGM coordination and corporate secretarial matters, leveraging Registered Qualified Individual (RQI) status.
• Manage bank accounts, consultancy invoices, fixed assets and depreciation.
• Perform accounting and reconciliation activities using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Review work-in-progress reports with business managers and the billing team.

Key Requirements

• Chartered Accountant of Singapore. Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles and Singapore statutory requirements.
• Hands-on experience with full-set accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Good understanding of Singapore tax, payroll and corporate compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial information and provide business insights.
• Proficiency with accounting and financial systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience would be advantageous.
• Leadership capability with experience guiding and developing team members.
