Job summary

KLA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform repair, preventive maintenance, installation and relocation start-up services for complex equipment at customer wafer fab facilities. You will diagnose issues, minimize downtime and communicate with customer management and engineering teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, strong communication skills, initiative, and willingness to travel with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to understand customer needs.
• Ability to work overtime and travel on short notice.
• Experience on semiconductor capital equipment is an advantage.
• Entry-level candidates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Repair, preventive maintenance, installation and relocation start-up service of complex equipment at customer wafer fab facility.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and minimize downtime; determine corrective actions.
• Provide customer orientation and technical training on maintenance; represent the company professionally.
• Prepare field service reports and communicate with supporting functions about recurring problems.
• Stay up to date on equipment/tools through training and manuals.
