Job summary

KLA-TENCOR (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a field service engineer to troubleshoot and repair highly complex semiconductor equipment at customer wafer fabs in Singapore.

You will diagnose problems, coordinate schedules to minimize downtime and provide installation support. The role requires a degree in engineering, with preference for semiconductor equipment experience. Strong communication, initiative and the ability to travel on short notice are essential; overtime and transport allowance

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master's Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Computing Engineering
• Semiconductor equipment experience is an advantage
• Entry level considered for candidates without work experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to understand customer needs
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
• Willing to work overtime and travel on short notice with transport allowance

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair highly complex semiconductor equipment at customer wafer fab facility
• Resolve installation and upgrade problems
• Coordinate equipment schedule to minimize downtime
• Conduct customer orientation and technical training on maintenance for end users
• Prepare field service reports and document recurring issues for other teams

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Field service activities associated with troubleshooting, diagnostic and repairing highly complex equipment at customer wafer fab facility.
• Resolve installation and upgrading problems.
• Coordinate equipment schedule to minimize system downtime.
• Conduct customer orientation and technical training on all aspects of equipment maintenance support for user application.
• Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and provides documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring problems

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master's Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Computing Engineering
• Working experience with semiconductor equipment is an advantage
• Candidates without work experience can be considered for entry position
• Good interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customer needs
• Shows initiative and can work independently
• Ability to work overtime and travel at short notice (transport allowance benefit, overtime work is compensated)
