Job summary

KCL CONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. seeks a Resident Engineer to supervise factory building projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety requirements. You will monitor site works, verify progress, and report quality and progress to the project team.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience, and a valid RE certificate. This is a 20-month contract starting ASAP and based on site inspections in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Min Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of relevant supervision experience on factory buildings.
• Resident Engineer certificate accredited by IES/ACES is required.
• Familiar with statutory codes and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand project specifications and ensure site activities comply with regulations and client requirements.
• Monitor site works to ensure method statements and work procedures are followed.
• Supervise structural works and identify non-conformities in contractor's work.
• Ensure construction aligns with consultant instructions and drawings.
• Review drawings for discrepancies and propose solutions to prevent delays.
• Conduct quality inspections and QC of materials used.
• Maintain and document site inspection records, safety records, and as-built drawings.
• Keep site records updated on progress, housekeeping, and reports.
• Verify contractors' progress payments and material deliveries on site.
• Witness inspections, testing, and commissioning for compliance with designs.
• Report to project QP/Consultant team on quality and progress.
