Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Singapore is seeking a Technical Handyman to be the hands-on problem solver for client facilities. You will handle a wide range of maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems, ensuring spaces meet high standards.

You will work independently and as part of a facilities team, prioritizing safety and quality workmanship while communicating effectively with occupants and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or handyman roles.
• Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication with building occupants.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use ladders/scaffolding.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs (carpentry, painting, drywall repair, door hardware, minor furniture assembly).
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems to identify issues early.
• Respond to work orders with timely, clear communication.
• Assist with basic plumbing tasks (fix leaks, unclog drains, replace fixtures).
• Handle electrical tasks (lamp replacements, outlet repairs, minor electrical fixes).
• Support HVAC tasks (change filters, clean vents) under supervision.
• Maintain records of work orders, materials, and time in CMMS.
• Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized with PPE.
• Collaborate with team and contractors on larger projects.
