Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore's Tuas area is seeking a hands-on Export Shipping Leader to steer the team, ensure compliance, and drive service quality across international shipments.
You will manage documentation, negotiations with lines, and liaise with executives to tailor logistics solutions while maintaining ISO9001 standards and KPI monitoring.
Exposure to import/export operations, regulatory compliance, and vendor management is essential for success in this role.
Up till$7000 basic + Transport allowance + Variable Bonus (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)

Working Days/Timings: 5 days work week | Monday - Friday 8:45am - 5:30pm

Leadership & Team Management
Lead, train, and mentor the export shipping team to improve performance and service quality.
Establish and monitor department KPIs together with Import Shipping Manager.
Ensure ISO9001 compliance and maintain accurate records.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with Executive Chairman & Joint CEO to serve new and existing customers.
Provide logistics solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and disputes promptly.
Operations & Compliance
Manage daily shipping operations including forwarding transactions.
Oversee full sets of shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates, L/C documentation).
Ensure customs declarations comply with Singapore and international regulations (Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Middle East, Bangladesh, etc.).
Coordinate with statutory authorities and quality team for inspections.
Vendor & Cost Management
Negotiate freight rates and free-time extensions with shipping lines and forwarders.
Manage relationships with hauliers, transporters, and business vendors.
Verify bills for warehousing, loading, and packing costs.
Planning & Reporting
Plan and monitor shipment activities to ensure efficiency.
Prepare and manage sales contracts, forecasts, and reports.
Analyse shipping performance data for process improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, International Trade, or related field.
7–10 years in shipping/logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong background in export documentation, Letters of Credit, and customs compliance.
Knowledge of import/export operations and regulations.
Relevant certifications in logistics, trade compliance, or supply chain (e.g., FIATA, CITP, APICS/CSCP) preferred.
ISO9001 knowledge/certification is an advantage.
