Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager in Singapore to lead a forwarding team and drive continuous service improvements. You will manage ISO 9001 documentation, coordinate vessel bookings, and negotiate freight rates with forwarders while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
You will also develop tailored logistics solutions for customers, oversee documentation for exports including LC shipments, and monitor KPIs to optimize costs and performance.
Lead and oversee the team by developing and implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement in service quality and transit time performance
Collaborate closely with the management to support both new and existing customers
Oversee the management and maintenance of ISO 9001 documentation and compliance.
Train, guide, and enhance the competency and productivity of the department
Manage vendor relationships with contractors, hauliers, transporters, and other logistics-related partners.
Negotiate competitive freight rates with forwarders and coordinate vessel bookings.
Prepare and verify complete sets of export shipping documents (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, insurance policy, beneficiary certificate, bank draft, bank schedule, and others) to ensure accuracy and proper legalization.
Manage documentation and processes related to Letter of Credit (L/C) shipments.
Work closely with customers to develop effective and efficient logistics solutions tailored to their needs.
Ensure all customs declarations comply with the requirements of Singapore and relevant international authorities (e.g., Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Middle East, Bangladesh, etc.).
Supervise day-to-day forwarding operations and transactions.
Coordinate with the quality assurance team and relevant authorities for inspections.
Prepare, manage, and analyse sales contracts, forecasts, and performance reports.
Plan, track, and oversee shipment activities to ensure timely execution.
Prepare and issue sales contracts and work orders.
Negotiate extensions of free time with shipping lines when necessary.
Verify and validate invoices related to warehousing, loading, and production packing charges.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and export controls for all international transactions
Track and analyze key KPI to identify areas for improvement and effective cost control in freight and logisticexpenses
Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company.
