Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Export Logistics Manager in Singapore to lead the Export Shipping team and drive operational excellence. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service and ensuring compliant, efficient export processes.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in shipping/logistics, 3+ years in management, and a strong track record in KPI-driven improvement within a food manufacturing/export context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the Export Shipping team to achieve operational excellence and customer service.
• Set, monitor, and review departmental KPIs with the Import Shipping Manager to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure ISO 9001 compliance and maintain accurate shipping documentation and records.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers by providing professional logistics support and tailored shipping solutions.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and shipment issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Oversee daily export shipping operations, ensuring smooth coordination of freight forwarding activities.
• Manage the preparation and verification of export shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and Letter of Credit documents.
• Ensure customs declarations and export documentation comply with Singapore and international trade regulations.
• Coordinate with government authorities, inspection agencies, and internal quality teams to facilitate shipment inspections and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates and shipping terms with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
• Manage relationships with transport providers, hauliers, warehouses, and other business vendors to ensure efficient shipment execution.
• Review and verify logistics-related invoices, including warehousing, loading, transportation, and packing charges.
• Plan, monitor, and coordinate shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery and operational efficiency.
• Prepare sales contracts, shipment forecasts, operational reports, and management reports.
• Analyse shipping performance and identify opportunities to improve processes, cost efficiency, and service quality.
